The OVIO Data Center was commissioned for commercial operation in May 2024 in Abovyan city, Kotayk region, Armenia.
Considering its strategic importance for the country, the data center investment project was approved by the Government of Armenia and included in the Ministry of Economy of RA’s “Infrastructure in Exchange for Investments” program.
The data center has a capacity of 2 MW, connected to Armenia’s power grid via two independent substations with capacities of 35 kV and 100 kV, and equipped with two Mitsubishi diesel generators ensuring uninterrupted operation.
The center is built according to internationally recognized standards ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, PCI DSS, and Tier III. It houses 216 server racks.
Data located within Armenia
OVIO Data Center is the largest and most technically advanced data center operating in Armenia. It provides a secure, uninterrupted, and highly available environment for data storage, processing, and backup for businesses and governmental institutions.
Reliable power supply and uninterrupted operation
The center has a total capacity of 2 MW provided by two Mitsubishi diesel generators. It is connected to two independent power supply substations and a Schneider Galaxy VL UPS system with N+1 redundancy. This ensures that even in emergency situations, the center continues to operate without interruption.
Optimal cooling systems
Mitsubishi and Systemair cooling systems are installed to constantly maintain optimal temperatures in two equipment halls housing over 200 server racks, each rated up to 5 kW.
High level of physical and information security
The center is monitored 24/7 by over 200 cameras eliminating blind spots.
Facial recognition and biometric access systems are employed.
The center is accessible to persons with disabilities.
Fire protection is provided by the Chladon 227 gas system, which extinguishes fires without water, preventing equipment damage.
Technological power
Cloud services operate on state-of-the-art servers equipped with Intel Xeon(R) Gold processors, DDR5 RAM, and All-Flash NVMe SSD storage systems.
Based on the latest technologies, the center enables running resource-intensive software within its cloud services.
Apart from internet connectivity, cloud platform servers can be connected to dedicated data transmission channels.
Server backups can be performed in the cloud via a self-service portal.
